Arts, crafts and music are coming to the Historic Richard Howe Farmstead on Sunday.
It’s the seasonal debut of the Good Way Gardens concert season, with Humbletown coming from South Dakota to perform. Poet and writer Linzi Garcia will have her own readings as well as selections from Walnut Elementary students through a new partnership with the House of Morrow. The Emporia Arts Council and Emporia State Art Therapy will also have activities. Good Way Gardens will also collect non-perishable food items for local blessing boxes through a partnership with Healthier Lyon County.
Founder Elexa Dawson says the fusion of arts, crafts and music is important — but all the Good Way Gardens activities are rooted in sustainable agriculture practices.
Concerts take place from 4-6 pm the first Sunday of a given month through October. More information is available at goodwaygardens.com and the Good Way Gardens Facebook page.
