Officially, the USD 253 Emporia Board of Education will have two meetings Monday morning.
Board members will convene at 9:30 am to officially announce the district’s next superintendent of schools and to approve the related contract. The board will then move directly into a second Zoom meeting to discuss personnel in executive session. No action is expected with the second meeting.
The district interviewed three finalists last week:
*David McGehee, previously the district’s interim assistant superintendent for business and operations
*Kevin Hansford, currently superintendent at USD 331 Kingman-Norwich
*Greg Clark, currently superintendent at USD 367 Osawatomie
Allison Anderson Harder, the district’s superintendent since 2021, is retiring effective July 1.
