Nobody was hurt after a vehicle crashed into a utility pole in south-central Emporia late Sunday night.
Emporia Fire and Emporia Police were dispatched to the intersection of West South and Washington shortly after 11 pm. Details are pending, but the vehicle involved allegedly broke the pole at the base, although overhead wires held it up. The vehicle also destroyed a speed limit sign nearby.
The driver’s name has not been released.
