The Emporia High boys tennis team hosted a makeup tournament on Tuesday at the EHS Tennis Courts.
In doubles play, Ricky Macias and Breckin Hines finished in eighth place, while Aidan Sanchez and Micah Mischke finished in 11th place. Macias and Hines lost to Piper, 8-2, in the seventh place match while Sanchez and Miscke defeated Topeka High, 4-3. In singles play, Tegan Mitchell finished 11th with an 8-1 victory over teammate Brock Malone. Emporia High is scheduled to travel to Newton for a tournament on Thursday.
