Enrollment and construction matters look to lead the USD 253 Emporia Board of Education meeting Wednesday evening.
Board members will discuss supports for new teachers before approving class size capacity numbers to help guide transfer requests for the 2025-26 academic year.
Separately, the board will get an update on the Building for the Future bond project, with William Allen White Elementary — the last school to see construction — nearing the end of its process. Board members will also discuss replacement technology purchases.
Board members will also discuss board policy updates and hold an executive session on personnel. During the consent agenda, where several items can be addressed with one vote, the board could approve an annual partnership agreement between the district and Jobs for America’s Graduates-Kansas for the upcoming school year.
The meeting begins at 6 pm Wednesday at Mary Herbert Education Center.
