The #40 Emporia State men’s tennis team fell 6-1 to #7 Washburn at the Washburn Tennis Complex on Wednesday. ESU was swept in doubles winning just six games combined in the three matches. The Ichabods claimed the first two singles matches before Duvan Santiago Torres got E-State on the board with a 6-3, 6-4 win at #6 singles, but the Hornets couldn’t find another win. Three of the singles matches went to three sets. The Hornets (9-5, 1-2 MIAA/GAC) continue action in the North division of the MIAA/GAC hosting Augustana Sunday at the Kossover Family Tennis Complex.
