Flint Hills Technical College has announced plans for its second annual Childcare Providers’ Appreciation Event.
Activities will be from 6-8 pm May 14 at the Trusler Conference Center on the college’s main campus, and there will be a heavy emphasis on STEAM — or science, technology, engineering, art and math. There will be interactive booths highlighting STEAM activities, hands-on demonstrations specifically for childcare settings, networking opportunities and an appearance by the FHTC Culinary Arts food truck. Attendees will also also receive a complimentary bag with the book “Simple Hands-On Activities for Little Ones.”
This is an adults-only event designed to give providers a chance to enjoy an activity while getting more information and tools for their operations.
Registration is required. More information is available at fhtc.edu or by emailing Early Childhood Education Instructor Nancy Robinson, narobinson@fhtc.edu.
