Newman Regional Health’s work towards medical care for babies and their mothers has earned it recognition through the United Methodist Health Ministry Fund.
Newman Regional Health has been recognized as a High 5 for Mom & Baby Premier facility. This is a program designed to increase breastfeeding by using resources and evidence-based practices to develop successful breastfeeding among moms. Participating hospitals are asked to fill out voluntary, self-reported evaluations and to demonstrate their adherence to all 10 evidence-based procedures in the program.
Besides being named as a premier facility, Newman Regional Health receives several other benefits — ongoing education and training, resources and scholarship opportunities.
