Emporia city commissioners meet Wednesday with a zoning matter and infrastructure items on their action meeting agenda.
Commissioners could amend the land parcel type at 1002 Trusler Road from Lyon County Agriculture to Emporia Country Home. Commissioners could also award the annual Street Rehab contract to APAC-Kansas, Shears Division, at a cost of over $1.1 million. A purchase of an automated side-load truck for Solid Waste is also on the agenda.
The study meeting agenda includes a proposal to manage and operate the Emporia Visitor Bureau, now known as Visit Emporia, as well as the application process for Community Development Block Grants, special event policies for the city’s recently-created Common Consumption Area and disc golf at Champions landing among other items.
The action session begins at 11 am at the Municipal Court Room. The study meeting follows at White Auditorium City Conference Room 1AB.
