For the second time in two weeks, a new Superintendent has been named for an area school district.
Tuesday, USD 243 Lebo/Waverly announced the board of education had selected Dustin Wilson to replace Duane Ford as the district’s leader. Ford announced his resignation from the position earlier this year.
Wilson comes to 243 from USD 495 Fort Larned where he has served in various administrative roles for 11 years including the last six as principal at Larned High School. The announcement of Wilson as Lebo/Waverly’s next superintendent comes just over a week after Dr. David McGehee was announced as the next Superintendent for USD 253 Emporia replacing Dr. Allison Anderson Harder following her official retirement July 1.
Wilson and McGehee are two of five new Superintendents announced across the KVOE Listening area this year. The list also includes Aaron Doty who was named the next Superintendent for USD 284 Chase County, Dallas Woolf who will take over at USD 386 Madison/Virgil and Kimberly Woolf who was tapped to lead USD 432 Lyndon.
