The Emporia High girls swim and dive team finished third at the Topeka West Invitational on Wednesday. Emporia High finished with 323 points, finishing behind Manhattan and Seaman. Allie Weiss won the diving portion of the event with a score of 283.05, winning by 71 points. The 200-yard freestyle relay of Camryn Spafford, Ava Podrebarac, Taryn Woydziak and Brooke Monroe finished third (2:02.35). Podrebarac finished third in the 200-yard freestyle (2:41.98). The 200-yard medley relay team of Monroe, Connelly Prouse, Podrebarac, and Makaelyn Haag finished fifth (2:33.46). Prouse finished fifth in the 200-yard individual medley (3:07.39) while also taking fifth in the 500-yard freestyle (7:26.24). The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Woydziak, Monroe, Spafford and Prouse finished fifth (4:44.01). Emporia High will be back in action on April 25 at Marion. Weiss will next dive on April 29 at Topeka West.
