Rainfall remains likely for the rest of Easter Sunday.
Showers and embedded thunderstorms are likely through the afternoon hours before rain chances fade around sunset. Storms will be isolated, but there is a marginal severe weather risk for the mid- to late-afternoon hours along and just south of the Kansas Turnpike. All hazards are possible, but the main concern will be hail if storms turn severe.
Area residents have received decent rainfall amounts since late Friday night:
*KVOE studios: 1 inch
*Emporia Municipal Airport: 0.69 inches
*Country Club Heights: 0.35 inches Friday night through Saturday morning
*Eureka Milliken Airport: 1.13 inches
An unsettled weather week is ahead, with numerous chances for showers and storms stretching from Tuesday afternoon through at least Saturday. Severe weather risk areas currently do not affect the KVOE listening area.
KVOE and KVOE.com will have updates. If you have rain totals for the weekend, message your information to the Bluestem Farm and Ranch Supply text line at 620-342-5863.
