Despite damp conditions, the Messiah Lutheran Church drive-in Easter worship service was well-attended at the Lyon County Fairgrounds on Sunday.
Interim Pastor Norbert Tegtmeier focused his holiday message on the joy that followed amongst Jesus’ disciples once they remembered the words of Scripture leading to his death and resurrection.
Drizzle during the event and the threat of rain through the day prompted a layout change for the event. Normally, the lectern was at the south end of the Fairgrounds parking lot, but Pastor Tegtmeier was set up under the Anderson Building’s awning.
About 100 vehicles were in the parking lot for the service. The service was aired live on KVOE and KVOE.com.
