USD 251 North Lyon County is hosting an informational town hall meeting for the public on Wednesday.
The town hall will take place on Wednesday at the North Lyon County gymnasium starting at 6:30 pm. The town hall dates back to the late spring and summer of 2024 when the USD 251 Board of Education authorized facility assessments for both Northern Heights High School and North Lyon County Elementary School, according to Superintendent Bob Blair.
Those details will now be shared with the public during a town hall meeting on Wednesday at the North Lyon County gymnasium beginning at 6:30 pm. District Strategic Planning Committee Chair Kylie DeDonder says this will be an important meeting that gives the community a “seat at the table” when it comes to planning for the future of district facilities.
Blair says he hopes for a big turnout, noting a large amount of work has already been done leading up to Wednesday’s dialogue.
The meeting is scheduled to last for at least 90 minutes and will include comments from the Board of Education, the Strategic Planning Committee and a Q&A session with the public.
