The Emporia High softball team went 0-2 at the McPherson Quad on Tuesday. Emporia High was shutout in its first game against Derby, 11-0, in five innings. The Lady Spartans did not record a hit in the game. Emporia High was defeated in its second game to Rose Hill, 12-1, in six innings. Emporia High led 1-0 after one, but Rose Hill scored 12 consecutive runs over the last four innings. Emporia High had three hits in the game. Emporia High (4-10) travels to Wichita Independent on Thursday.
