Disc Golf courses across Emporia will be busy with the Glass Blown Open beginning on Friday.
Over 400 players will be playing at Jones East and Jones West, Peter Pan Park, and Champions Landing.
Tournament Director Jackie Morris says Emporia is a special place when events like the GBO are held in the community.
Prior to the final round on Sunday, Dynamic Discs has partnered with Emporia Main Street to host a block party in the 600 and 700 blocks of Commercial from 6 to 10 p.m. on Saturday. Morris says community members are encouraged to take part in all the festivities surrounding the tournament, with no cost to watch the tournament or attend the block party.
