Graduation season is fast approaching, and that includes at least one nontraditional ceremony next month.
The Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce is getting ready for its Mi Negocio Academy graduation and work exhibition event May 9. Program students graduates will have a chance to demonstrate their business visions as part of the event.
The academy was developed in 2023, giving Spanish-speaking entrepreneurs skills and information about business planning, financial management, legal matters, marketing and operations through several weeks of seminars. The academy’s first graduation ceremony took place last year.
The Mi Negocio graduation and work exhibition will be at the Emporia Arts Center Davis Theatre.
