The #4 Central Oklahoma softball team broke open a pitching duel in the fourth and advanced to the semifinals of the MIAA Softball Tournament with an 8-1 victory over Emporia State in Hays, Kan. on Thursday. Neither team scored in the first three innings before UCO plated three in the fourth and four in the fifth. ESU got its only run in the sixth on a Sydney Wagner single. Wagner finished 2-for-5. Gracie Rabe (10-12) took the loss giving up five hits and three earned runs in 3.2 innings. Terin Ritz pitched a complete game win for UCO while going 2-for-3 with a pair of homers and five RBIs. ESU ends the season at (31-23).
