Your input is wanted as Symphony in the Flint Hills looks to chart a new path for its work.
Besides holding a concert annually in natural amphitheater areas across the Flint Hills, the organization has been working to expand appreciation of the region through education, stewardship and the arts, including the annual artist gallery now open to the public. A Vision Committee has been formed recently to determine how to maintain and grow the area’s arts and culture while expanding awareness of the tallgrass prairie.
Residents can take part in an online survey to help the Vision Committee with its work. The organization says the survey will “help shape the organization’s programs, partnerships, and future initiatives.” Click here for the link.
Symphony in the Flint Hills is holding its 20th and final concert June 14 in Chase County, with the Kansas City Symphony as the featured performers and Logan Mize as the special guest artist. Tickets are on sale through symphonyintheflinthills.org or 620-273-8955.
