One of the longest running rodeos returns later this month.
The Flint Hills Rodeo will be holding its 87th annual event May 29 through 31 in Strong City. Each night of festivities will begin at 8 p.m.
Flint Hills Rodeo spokesperson Dow Wilson says this event is a tradition for many who make sure to put this on their schedule.
Wilson says the schedule will remain the same with different competitions along with the addition of Ranch Broncs for Friday and Saturday performances. Wilson says this is the second addition to the schedule with women’s breakaway roping added in 2024.
