Consultant services will be one of the main action items considered by Lyon County Commissioners when they convene for their regular action session Thursday morning.
Specifically, commissioners will consider approving the scope of services for consultant work through Driggs Design Group of Emporia, totaling more than $28,700 for the new proposed Lyon County law enforcement firing range and dispatch center discussed last month. As KVOE News reported last month, commissioners approved purchasing land at West South Avenue with plans to construct a state-of-the-art firing range for local law enforcement as well as a dedicated space for the Lyon County Emergency Communications Center.
Separately, commissioners will consider approving and signing a contract with Reno County to house juvenile detainees in the Reno County juvenile detention facility. That item will be presented by Lyon County Sheriff Jeff Cope and Community Corrections Director Erin Rodriguez.
Finally, Lyon County Clerk Amie Jones will submit the annual service contract for maintenance, license fees and firmware from ES&S for more than $56,600. One executive session for employee evaluation is also planned.
The meeting will begin at 9 am inside of the Lyon County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
