Bushong has its first person filing for City Council.
Vicki Jackson filed her paperwork Wednesday. She joins Fred Fechter, who is seeking election to his former seat as mayor for the community.
Candidate filings could become more numerous over the next several weeks with the filing and withdrawal deadline at noon June 2. The primary election, if needed, is August. 5. The general election is Nov. 4. Positions for City Council, City Commission, mayor and school board are up for election this year.
