Three people from Washington state were hurt in a wreck in central Morris County on Friday.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says the wreck happened around 7:45 pm on US Highway 56 near the junction with 2000 Road, about two miles west-northwest of Wilsey and nearly 15 miles west of Council Grove. Troopers say an SUV driven by 22-year-old Sadie Tynan of Tenino, Washington, was westbound on US-56 when it left the highway to the north, rolling “multiple” times before stopping.
Tynan was taken to Stormont Vail in Topeka with suspected serious injuries. Two passengers, 24-year-old Wyatt Tynan and 2-year-old Rosalina Tynan, suffered possible minor injuries and were taken to Morris County Hospital in Council Grove for treatment. The adults were wearing seatbelts, while the toddler was in a car seat at the time of the crash.
