For many students of Flint Hills Technical College, this weekend’s commencement will see them cross the stage of White Auditorium directly into the phase of their lives, quite literally.
During KVOE’s most recent Tech Talk Tuesday, FHTC President Dr. Caron Daugherty stated that she would hope their students would take a little time after graduation to rest and celebrate their accomplishment, however, she doubts that will be the case, given many of them are already working in some capacity in their chosen professions.
Currently, FHTC boasts a 98 percent placement rate, a point of pride for Daugherty and her leadership team. Adding to that pride is the fact that nearly 90 percent of all graduates stay in the college’s seven-county coverage area, and nearly 95 percent in the state of Kansas.
Commencement activities are scheduled for 10 am Saturday inside of William L. White Auditorium. For more information visit FHTC.edu.
