A Council Grove man remains under arrest after what Police Chief Shawn Wangerin calls a short foot chase a week ago.
Wangerin says officers noted a person in the 200 block of Market who had an arrest warrant out of Lyon County. Officers tried to talk with the person, later identified as Daniel Clift, but Wangerin says Clift fled on foot before he was quickly captured and arrested.
Clift has been charged with interference with law enforcement and has a status hearing May 22.
