The 31st annual Flatland Cruisers Car Show had right around 200 vehicles on display all across Commercial Street this weekend.
Among the vehicles was a 1951 five-window Chevrolet Pickup owned by Tracey Edwards.
Edwards says he’s proud to own the vehicle constructed by his family members, noting that’s where his love for classic vehicles began.
1981 Chevrolet El Camino was Ty Short who says he has put countless hours into the vehicle taking it from a passion project to now a family heirloom.
Short says when it comes to classic vehicles, driving, displaying and restoring them does his heart a lot of good.
According to organizers, over 180 vehicles were registered for the car show, with many more non-registered on display, totaling just over 200 vehicles in the downtown corridor. On top of the wide selection of vehicles on display, visitors were also able to enjoy several food vendors, Hot Wheels races, prize drawings, and more. The event also saw some new additions to the slate of activities this year, including a participant-only poker walk involving local businesses and top 20 participants’ choice awards.
