The Emporia High boys golf team swept regionals on Monday at Lake Shawnee in Topeka.
Emporia High won the regional championship with a score of 308, eight strokes ahead of runner-up DeSoto. Hudson Sauder claimed the regional championship with a 73. Will Walker finished fourth with a 78. Nolan Jacob and Jared Johnson also shot rounds of 78 for fifth and sixth. Marley Harter finished 16th with an 83. Chesney Erkel finished 30th with an 88.
The Class 5A State Golf Championships will be held May 27 and 28 at Emporia Golf Course.
