Graduated wide receiver Tyler Kahmann has been named a finalist for the MIAA’s Ken B. Jones Award as the conference’s top student-athlete. Kahmann concluded his career as a two-time All-American including consensus first team status following his 2024 season with 1,488 yards and 20 touchdowns. Kahmann has the only two seasons of at least 100 receptions in program history and is the MIAA record holder with 54 career touchdown catches and holds every major ESU single game, season, and career receiving record. Kahmann is a two-time Academic All-American and earned a 4.0 graduate GPA after graduating with a 3.74 GPA in business. He is vying to be Emporia State’s first winner of the award since Jace McDown was honored in 2020. Kahmann recently was an undrafted free agent signing of the Indianapolis Colts.
