The Lyon County Highway Department will be busy this week.
Crews are set to close down Road 145 from V-7 east to Neosho Street inside the Neosho Rapids city limits. They will then work to repair the approach on the east side of the Neosho River bridge immediately west of Neosho Repairs.
This may seem like a flood-related project, especially with flooding near the west side of the bridge for much of last week. However, Assistant County Engineer Jim Brull says the project involves damage unrelated to flooding.
The affected part of Road 145 will be closed until work is finished.
