A Sedgwick County man is in custody following a traffic stop and the alleged discovery of narcotics this past weekend in Chase County.
According to the Chase County Sheriff’s Facebook page, a vehicle, make and model not listed, was stopped on Kansas Highway 177 south of Cottonwood Falls shortly after 7 pm. During the stop, a passenger, 54-year-old James Cannon of Derby, was supposedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Cannon was arrested and booked into the Chase County Jail where he remains at last word. Formal charges are currently pending.
