Crosswinds Counseling and Wellness is consolidating its services in Morris County.
According to a news release from the mental health care provider on Tuesday, the agency will be opening a new office building at 501 East Main Street in Council Grove. The move will bring staff from Crosswinds’ two previous locations, 405 North Union and 728 East Main Street, under one roof, much like the agency did in Emporia last year.
Crosswinds Executive Director Amanda Cunningham recently spoke with KVOE News and stated that consolidation and “Finding the right space” have been important objectives for the agency in recent years. She says in addition to creating a “one-stop shop” for services in the community, the singular location also provides more comfort for both staff and clients alike.
Cunningham says the consolidation brings many benefits, including reducing confusion on where clients need to go to receive services, as well as abundant space for expanding services and accommodating more clinicians.
The move into the new space is currently ongoing, with current plans being to open the doors of the new office this coming Monday. A public house event for the new facility is planned for a later date; however, an exact time has not yet been announced.
