KVOE’s “Hide and Seek” Contest is back.   Win the $3,500+ Grand Prize, just by listening and finding the KVOE Medallion.

After acquiring a license, visit each of the sponsor locations during normal business hours and get your license stamped.  After receiving all 8 sponsor location stamps, your hunting license will be complete.

Now listen to KVOE, Mix 104.9, or Country 101.7 starting Monday, July 28th for clues.

The Grand Prize winner will be the first person to find the KVOE “Hide and Seek” Medallion and return it to our studios with a completed hunting license.

COMPLETE RULES.

  • The winner must be 18 years of age or older as of August 1, 2025
  • Eligibility and Limitations: Employees of Emporia’s Radio Stations, Inc and members of their immediate family are not eligible to participate and win.  The term “immediate family” includes spouses, partners, siblings, parents, children, grandparents, and grandchildren, whether as “in-laws,” or by current or past marriage(s), remarriage(s), adoption, co-habitation or other family extensions, and any other persons residing at the same household whether or not related.
  • The contest begins July 7, 2025, and continues until the KVOE “Hide and Seek” Medallion is found and returned to KVOE Studios located @ 1420 C of E Drive, Emporia, KS 66801
  • Each weekday morning from July 28th until the KVOE “Hide and Seek” Medallion is found, the daily clue will be read during the morning show on each respective station (KVOE AM 1400/96.9 FM, Country 101.7 FM, and Mix 104.9). The time of the daily reading will fall between the hours of 6 am – 10 am.  The daily clue will be read once on each station per day.
  • Daily clues will be available at sponsor locations after 11 am each weekday.
  • The winner is the person who first finds and returns the KVOE “Hide and Seek” Medallion to Emporia’s Radio Stations studios, 1420 C of E Drive, Emporia, KS 66801. The KVOE “Hide and Seek” Medallion will be accepted and exchanged for the prize package during regular business hours M-F 8 am – 5 pm.
  • The KVOE “Hide and Seek” Medallion is considered not found and the contest is still active until it is returned to and in possession of Emporia’s Radio Stations, Inc.
  • The KVOE “Hide and Seek” Medallion is hidden on public property. Any contestant who trespasses or damages any property, public or private, during the search for the KVOE “Hide and Seek” Medallion will be automatically disqualified and all prizes forfeited.
  • All persons searching for the KVOE “Hide and Seek” Medallion will be considered contestants and will hold Emporia’s Radio Stations, Inc. free from any liability of any damage to person or property arising from participation in the KVOE “Hide and Seek” Medallion promotional contest.
  • Value/Prize(s): The Grand Prize for the KVOE “Hide and Seek” Contest is over $3,000.00 in sponsor prizes.  Grand prize can be claimed if the winner presents the KVOE “Hide and Seek” Medallion and a valid KVOE “Hide and Seek” Hunting License.
  • If the winner presents the KVOE “Hide and Seek” Medallion, but DOES NOT have a valid KVOE “Hide and Seek” Hunting License, said winner will win $500.00 cash and remaining Prizes will be drawn at random from KVOE “Hide and Seek” Hunting License holders.
  • The prize(s) that may be awarded to the eligible winner(s) are not transferable, redeemable for cash, or exchangeable for any other prize.  Certain prizes are date specific and the winner or winners must use prizes by dates specified.  If a winner cannot be contacted or is disqualified for any reason, Emporia’s Radio Stations, Inc reserves the right to determine an alternate winner or not to award that winner’s prize, at its sole discretion.
  • In order to be eligible for the Grand Prize, the participant must be in possession of the KVOE “Hide and Seek” Medallion and a complete KVOE “Hide and Seek” Hunting License.  To receive a Hunting License, participants must attend one of our below remotes that will take place between July 7th and July 27th, 2025.  The participant will receive a KHS Hunting License at the first remote they attend.  The participant will then visit each place of business during normal business hours to receive their stamp.  All 6 stamps will be required to be eligible for Grand Prize.
  • $50 Gift Certificates will be drawn at each remote location from the registration slips collected at said location. We will also draw for $50 cash at each location.
  • Publicity: Use of Personal Information:  By participating, all participants and winner(s) grant Emporia’s Radio Stations, Inc exclusive permission to use their names, characters, photographs, voices, videotape, and likenesses in connection with the promotion of this contest and waive any claims to royalty, right, or remuneration for such use.
  • Conduct and Decisions:  By participating in the Contest, participants agree to be bound by the decisions of Emporia’s Radio Stations, Inc personnel.  Persons who violate any rule, gain an unfair advantage in participating in the Contest, or obtain winner status using fraudulent means will be disqualified.  Unsportsmanlike, disruptive, annoying, harassing, or threatening behavior is prohibited.   Emporia’s Radio Stations, Inc will interpret these rules and resolve any disputes, conflicting claims, or ambiguities concerning the rules or the Contest, and Emporia’s Radio Stations, Inc’s decision concerning such disputes shall be final.  If the conduct or outcome of the Contest is affected by human error, any mechanical malfunctions or failures of any kind, intentional interference or any event beyond the control of Emporia’s Radio Stations, Inc, Emporia’s Radio Stations, Inc reserves the right to terminate this Contest, or make such other decisions regarding the outcome as Emporia’s Radio Stations, Inc deems appropriate.
  • All decision will be made by Emporia’s Radio Stations, Inc and are final.  Emporia’s Radio Stations, Inc may waive any of these rules at its sole discretion.  Any attempt by a participant or any other individual to deliberately circumvent, disrupt, damage or undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws.  Should such an attempt be made, Emporia’s Radio Stations, Inc reserves the right to seek civil and/or criminal prosecution and/or damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.
  • Changes or Modifications: Changes or modifications to contest rules will be displayed in writing at Emporia’s Radio Stations, Inc offices and www.kvoe.com
  • Emporia’s Radio Stations is not responsible for any lost Hunting Licenses. If you lose your Hunting License, you can get a brand new one as long as there is still a remaining remote.  Any stamps on a lost Hunting License will not be validated
  • If the medallion is not turned in by the close of business on August 15th, the contest will be considered over and Prize winners and cash will be randomly drawn.
  • No purchase is necessary for participation.
