Lyon County deputies say a house in Admire was severely damaged by a fire Thursday afternoon.
The incident developed shortly after 2:15 pm at 119 West Fifth. Lyon County Detective Eric Williams says there was an active fire when fire crews and other emergency responders arrived. Nobody was home when the fire started and all occupants were located as the investigation continued.
No people were hurt, but two pets were found dead inside the house. Unspecified resources have been enlisted to help the family.
No cause has been confirmed.
Besides deputies, fire crews from Allen-Admire, Miller, Reading and Lyon County Rural responded.
