Concrete work is starting soon as part of a city of Emporia project.
The city’s annual Concrete Street Repair Project is designed to remove or rehab what the city calls deteriorated concrete. This will highlight 10 street segments or intersections across town:
*Weaver Street (Railroad to West 6th Avenue).
*15th Avenue (Lincoln Street to Lawrence Street).
*West Ridge Court and South Parkway Court Intersection.
*Monterey Drive approach at Coronado Avenue.
*Montezuma Court approach at Coronado Avenue.
*Montezuma Drive approach at Coronado Avenue.
*Rio Vista Drive approach at Coronado Avenue.
*18th Avenue at East Wilman Court.
*18th Avenue at Center Street.
*Del Oso Drive (Curb and Gutter)
Work begins next week. Drivers can expect lane closures and street closures as the project continues.
