Former and active duty military personnel and first responders are invited on Friday for a free movie at B&B Theatres.
CrossWinds Counseling and Wellness is hosting an alternative event with a showing of Jurassic World: Rebirth at 7 p.m.
This is the third year CrossWinds has held the alternative event surrounding the holiday. CrossWinds Development and Marketing Specialist Cara Codney says the event is another way for attendees to avoid large crowds and the noise surrounding the Fourth of July.
CrossWinds will also have staff on hand for attendees to learn about the services they offer. CrossWinds is in the midst of a busy summer, including holding children’s activities and their annual golf tournament, ‘Swing Away Stigma’ on July 26 at Emporia Golf Course.
