Emporia City Commissioners have their regular slate of meetings Wednesday.
During their action session, commissioners will review the 2024 audit report from Hood and Associates before considering awarding a bid to APAC-Kansas Shears Division for just over $786,900 for the annual street resurfacing project. Commissioners will also consider acceptance of a Build Kansas Matching grant for airport lighting repairs for $49,778.
Following a 30-minute executive session, commissioners will convene their regular study meeting inside White Auditorium City Conference Room 1AB. Topics of discussion for the study meeting will include an overview of tax funds, a CIP budget review, discussions on Quaker Park and an NFC grant.
The meetings will begin at 11 am inside the Municipal Courtroom at White Auditorium. Once the meetings are concluded, commissioners and city staff will head to Whittier Park for the ribbon cutting of the city’s new skate park.
The ribbon cutting is scheduled to take place at 2 pm.
