An Osage City man has been arrested on charges of drug possession following a traffic stop by Osage County deputies Wednesday.
The stop was initiated at the intersection of Martin and Safford in Osage City just after 10:05 pm for an alleged traffic violation. During the stop, illegal narcotics were allegedly located, leading to the arrest of 71-year-old Ricky G. Whitmore.
Whitmore was booked into the Osage County Jail on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Formal charges are pending at last word.
