Part of Kansas Highway 177 in Chase County is now blocked for repairs.
K-177 is closed on the north side of Strong City — specifically from Fourth Street to US Highway 50. The Chase County Sheriff’s Office is recommending that personal vehicle drivers use the K-177 bypass from southwest Strong City to US Highway 50 about a mile west of the city. Semi drivers have to use that bypass due to city ordinance.
There had been some recent Facebook posts on the Chase County KS page indicating a pilot car being used. Strong City says that is not the case.
