As construction crews get rolling on the western edge of Emporia’s Southeast Transmission waterline project, a part of eastern Emporia had to deal with a water line break Tuesday.
Crews responded to the 700 block of East Ninth shortly after 5 pm. East Ninth was closed from East to Topeka to allow for the work, while water service was offline on East Ninth from Sylvan to Topeka.
