15 individuals have been added to the Lyon County Food and Farm Council following action by Lyon County Commissioners Thursday.
At the top of their weekly agenda, commissioners appointed the following individuals to the council:

Deon Morrow

Letisia Madrigal Garcilazo
Marcia Lawrence

Maddie Craig
Each individual has been appointed to serve a one-year term.
In other business Thursday, commissioners approved an invoice from Computer Information Concepts totalling more than $50,100 from Sales Tax Data Processing Capital. Commissioners also approved an application for Deon Morrow to replace Justin Ogleby on the Multi-Use Path Planning Board for the remainder of his term, set to expire in 2029.
County Counselor Molly Priest then submitted a request to consider changing the county’s mileage reimbursement rate to $.70 per mile to better align the county with federal and state rates, with the change taking effect immediately. Commissioners approved the change unanimously.
A presentation of Flint Hills Technical College’s strategic and economic development plan and a non-elected personnel executive session for employee evaluation rounded out the meeting. The Commission will next convene for its regular action meeting this coming Thursday at 9 am inside of the Lyon County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
