No injuries were reported after a small grass fire developed about three miles north of Emporia on Thursday.
Emporia Fire responded to a location a half-mile west of the Kansas Highway 99 and Road 210 intersection around 3:30 pm. Fire Capt. Wade Schmidt says the fire developed after unspecified issues with a hay bale hauler.
The fire destroyed three windrows of grass.
