Plans remain on track for completing the Interstate 35 bridge replacement project over Lincoln Street by early fall.
City Engineer Jim Ubert says the abutment and superstructure have been poured.
Ubert also says bridge work isn’t the end of this project.
The hike-and-bike-path is similar to one constructed earlier this year near East 12th, Burlingame and Interstate 35.
Meanwhile, milling will continue Monday on West 18th between Industrial and Prairie. That portion of the city’s annual Street Rehab work could last most if not all of the week. Also, milling is set to begin Monday on Trail Ridge Road from Santa Fe Trail Road to 15th.
Residents can track street closures through the city of Emporia website. The page is emporiaks.gov/livemap.
