Maintenance and repairs are underway for several rail crossings in Emporia over the next several days.
Burlington Northern Santa Fe’s partner Roadsafe has announced closures at the following locations, effective Sunday:
*Carter
*East
*Sylvan
*Cottonwood
Roadsafe says the work could take several days to complete.
Early Monday, Roadsafe announced closings at Exchange, Union, Merchant and Constitution. Work on Weaver Street, mentioned for over a week, has been delayed several times since the original schedule was announced and was not updated Monday morning.
Meanwhile, Roadsafe has opened a pair of rail crossings following work last week. The following crossings are now open to traffic.
