Lyon County Commissioners are holding their regular action meeting a bit later than normal this week.
Commissioners will convene Friday at 9 am with engineering and facility matters to be the main topics of consideration. Lyon County Facilities Director Robbie Weiss will present a quote of $9,830 for resealing work at the Lyon County Courthouse to be paid for through the multi-year facilities fund. County Engineer Wayne Scritchfield will then present a unit cost bid from A.M. Cohron and Sons of Emporia for the Rocky Ford Bridge replacement project totaling more than $1.9 million.
Nearly $300,000 of the project will be paid for through the multi-year capital outlay fund, with the remaining $1.6 million to be paid for through a Kansas Department of Transportation reimbursement grant through the general fund Rocky Ford Bridge account.
Following the meeting, commissioners will move into their latest 2026 budget review. The meeting begins at 9 am inside the Lyon County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
