Traditionally, organizers of Olpe Downhome fill the day with activities from around sunrise to midnight. And that is the case again Saturday.
Organizer Lily Hayes, a guest on KVOE’s Morning Show Newsmaker segment Wednesday, says there isn’t much downtime in the schedule.
All of those activities take place between 6 am and 5:30 pm.
Meanwhile, the annual Olpe Fire Department pulled pork meal begins at 5:30 pm and sets the tone for the evening.
A street dance closes down the event from 8 pm to midnight.
Activities will take place in several locations, including downtown, Olpe Jones Park, Olpe Methodist Church and Olpe High School. All proceeds this year — as has been the case for several years — will get funneled into a revenue stream for a splash pad at Jones Park.
