Details about a vehicle crash in north Lyon County are pending, but the person sought by Lyon County deputies and several emergency response departments has been found.
Lyon County Sheriff Jeff Cope and Undersheriff John Koelsch say Dakota Gibson was found near Eighth and Main in Allen shortly before 7:30 am. Early indications are Gibson was found with minor injuries.
The search for Gibson developed very early Thursday after a reported vehicle crash at an unspecified time in the 800 block of US Highway 56 west of Allen. Several emergency departments brought extra manpower and ATVs to the scene to help with the original search by foot and by drone. The search also used a K-9 out of Topeka.
Crash details are still pending.

An intensive search is now underway in north Lyon County for a missing person.
Lyon County Undersheriff John Koelsch tells KVOE News Dakota Gibson has been missing since a vehicle crash in the 800 block of US Highway 56. Deputies have been searching in that general area since shortly after midnight, including by foot and by drone. The Sheriff’s Office has also asked several Lyon County first responder departments to provide manpower and ATVs, while a K-9 unit from Topeka began searching shortly before 6:30 am.
