The moderate to heavy rainfall may have brought some much-needed moisture to the area, but it has also led to a major schedule adjustment for the Lyon County Fair.
The Lyon County 4H Rodeo, scheduled for Saturday evening, has been postponed due to muddy conditions. The rodeo will now take place at 6 pm Tuesday, August 5th on the Lyon County Fairgrounds.
With that schedule adjustment, Lyon County Emergency Management is not at the Fairgrounds on Saturday evening to distribute free severe weather radios. Saturday was supposed to be the first of several evenings for giveaways after Emergency Management secured a federal grant. Emergency Management will start the process from 5:30-7:30 pm Sunday.
