Portions of Americus Road will have an improvement project begin next week.
The Lyon County Highway Department says there will be a shoulder widening project beginning Monday. Work will go from Americus to US Highway 56 just northwest of Bushong.
The Highway Department says a pilot car will be used in active work zones, so there could well be delays. Work could also continue into December.
