Two people were hurt in a crash in southern Greenwood County on Friday.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says the crash happened shortly before noon at the junction of US Highway 400 and Kansas Highway 99. A car driven by 40-year-old Elizabeth Botts of Neodesha was northbound on Highway 99 and failed to yield at a stop sign, colliding with an SUV driven by 45-year-old Myra Barnett of Fredonia.
Botts was taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita for suspected serious injuries. A passenger in Barnett’s vehicle, 13-year-old Quaid Barnett, was taken to Greenwood County Hospital in Eureka with suspected minor injuries.
