CareArc will be offering free school and sports physicals for all students through the remainder of the month.
The health center announced the free physicals Monday afternoon as part of a back-to-school campaign aimed at helping reduce financial burdens on families while ensuring students and student athletes are ready to start the athletic and academic years in tip-top shape. In a news release from CareArc Monday, CEO Renee Hively stated, “We know this time of year can be stressful for families, so we’re removing one more hurdle by making sure school and sports physicals are accessible to everyone. Whether a child has insurance or not, they will not pay anything out of
pocket.”
The free physicals are open to both insured and uninsured patients. For those that are insured, CareArc will bill their respective insurance company with no out-of-pocket cost to the patient. For uninsured patients, the cost will be written off by CareArc.
Appointments are highly recommended, as there is limited availability. Parents are encouraged to schedule early so that their students can be cleared for athletic competition ahead of the start of the fall sports schedule. Regular immunizations and labs are not included in the campaign and will still be regularly priced.
